    • Adult males average weight is between 775 to 1,300 pounds. (350 to 600 km)
    • Adult females are smaller, average weight is 330 to 650 pounds. (150 to 295 km)
  • Travel

    • Polar bears may travel more than 600 miles. (1,000 km) in one season.

    • Polar bear sows, like all bears go through delayed implantation. They will do their best to fatten up throughout the winter.
    • The egg will fertilize but not implant until fall, But only if she is fat enough to support both herself and cub(s).
